After encountering some turbulence at the start of term, it was back to plain sailing at Bridge last week.

Thursday night remained extraordinarily popular, with the club reaching full capacity by 22:35, but significant improvements to queue management, combined with the absence of pre-bought tickets, ensured that everyone was able to have riotously good fun without the weight of numbers being felt so heavily.

VERSA can point those seeking a slightly calmer experience towards a planned new night at Anuba on a Tuesday: essentially a less busy Bridge with cheaper drinks. What’s not to love?

The storms of change are louring on the horizon with Wahoo’s closing party this weekend, and rumours have been circulating that the demise of Oxford’s favourite Thursday night is also imminent. Rest assured: this Bridge won’t be crumbling any time soon. In fact, we have it on reliable authority that the club could be around for at least another five years.

In the meantime, let’s hope that everything continues to flow smoothly tonight.
